when at user plane you need to sign in there though and then click the webchat..

That is your add friends/accept friends section. If you click that it drops down and shows your status (if you need to approve etc.. )

If you want to add a friend just click on the icon or name and it takes you to their page where under their name is the option to Add As A Friend.. click that and your name goes to 'their' list as described above.

It's just a matter of exploring and hit and miss.. Still haven't scratched the surface I am sure .. I'm just looking for the link that leads to the Free Latte's.. :)
