Lately the McCain-Palin Campaign has been irking me more-so than ever. They have been drawing some pretty interesting people to their rallies who feel it is okay to spread hate and violence. ANgry mobs gather to yell kill him, and terrorist. Only things missing here are pitch forks and torches. Well maybe I should be thankful that McCain came to the rescue and set the record straight.
At a recent Minnesota town hall meeting, McCain offered a more heartfelt endorsement of Barack Obama's character than he had expressed during either of their two televised debates. When an elderly woman at the meeting said nervously, "I can't trust Obama . . . I have read about him and he's, uh . . ., he's an Arab," McCain shook his head somewhat sadly and corrected her. "No, ma'am," he said, Obama is a "decent family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."
Good lord.Let's see a show of hands of people who know what it feels like to be at the tail end of racist remark during a presidential rally. It doesn't feel really good does it? It doesn't seem like things are getting better for "us Arabs" anytime soon. I guess I should get back to work on that clothing line.
Oh and here is some semi-relevant material for your enjoyment.
